Peter Vardy Heritage are proud to showcase this left-hand drive Porsche 356A Reutter Coup?, originally produced in 1957.Porsche introduced the 356A at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 1955. Major changes were the 1600 cc engine, curved screen and revised suspension. Ruetter remained the coachbuilder. Tyre technology was improving which better suited suspension changes and higher fuel octanes allowed better performance. From the outside, the 356A was only slightly different with wider tyres,a rubber strip below the doors and a curved screen marking the changes. The interior now boasted a flat-face dashboard, locking glovebox, radio, headlight flashers and self canceling indicators.Imported from mainland Europe by Peter Vardy Heritage in 2015, and therefore the V5C shows just one UK keeper. Previously, this 356A spent time in Pleasanton, California, as the documentation shows. Included with the vehicle of course, is the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, confirming the original build date and specification which included a Blaupunkt Bremen radio, sealed beam headlights and ventilated chrome wheels. With traditional Porsche detailing, this 356 looks resplendent in its hue of metallic silver.A wonderful example of a much loved classic car with genuine usability when the desire takes you. As capable of touring as it is enhancing any static display or collection - a great investment for the future.Contact us for further information, or to request a personal video. 0131 322 6712
