COVID-19 Business Updates
Becoming The Safest Place to Buy
We are pleased to announce that our dealerships are now open. We have taken a number of measures to make our business the safest place to buy and work. We want to re-assure you that whether you are visiting us for sales, service or parts you can do so with the utmost confidence. As a result we have made amends to our traditional services and created a new extended range of products and services to give you the comfort you need when dealing with us. Below is a quick summary of some of the general actions we have taken but please watch our video to see details of actions for sales and service.
- When you arrive onsite, our car parks and entry doors have been re-marked to clearly identify where you should park and where to enter our premises.
- You’ll be welcomed personally by our uniformed ‘2 Meter Greeter’ and the changes we’ve made to keep you safe will be fully explained.
- We have invested heavily in state of the art body temperature systems to allow us to test the temperature of everyone entering our dealerships to ensure we keep everyone as safe as possible.
- Our colleagues all know only to come to work if they are fit and well.
- We’ve made some simple changes to our showroom layout to ensure appropriate social distancing e.g. the pathways to walk around are now clearly marked out and our Sales Advisors will maintain an appropriate distance.
- Hand sanitisers, wipes, gloves and masks were required will be available
We look forward to seeing you soon.
In Sales, for our in store services you will have the option to choose either the traditional personal service or we will be installing self serve kiosks to allow you to build your own deal should you want to.
When you are in store we will adhere to social distancing and carry out measures such as sanitising keys whenever they are exchanged and wiping card terminals before and after every use
During your test drive we will use PPE and will wipe down steering wheels, gear sticks and door handles and all common touchpoints. We will socially distance on test drive by sitting in the rear of the vehicle directly opposite to the driver or we can even offer unaccompanied test drives.
We will have cleaning logs in all our cars to show that they are all meticulously & frequently cleaned and sanitised to provide safety and reassurance for both our colleagues and guests alike.
New Sales Services
We will also offer services to allow you to transact with us if you prefer to do it remotely. Firstly you are able to transact with us completely online through our Storefront product that allows you to build your own deal, value your part exchange, apply for finance and reserve your vehicle online. At this point you can choose whether to use our click and collect product or home delivery. For click and collect you will be able to collect your vehicle from our dealership either inside or using our external sanitisation station should you prefer not to come inside. For home delivery we can deliver the vehicle directly to you at home or at work and perform a contactless handover with you.
We will also offer a mobile sales advisor service whereby we can come to you and handle the as much of the sales process in the comfort of your own home as you would like including bringing the vehicle of your choice to you for a test drive.

Mobile Sales Advisor
In aftersales, servicing is all about your safety and that’s why we continue to carry out visual safety checks on all vehicles. However, we are now taking extra measures in our Aftersales Departments to ensure we adhere to social distancing.
If you wish to visit our showroom then you can choose from our while you wait service and wait in the showroom for your service to be completed. These appointments will be staggered to allow for better social distancing and our showroom will be regularly cleaned and sanitised. If you are not able to wait you can select to have a courtesy car, all of our courtesy vehicles will be cleaned and sanitised before and after every use and will contain a cleaning log to document our cleaning process. Our technicians will be wearing full PPE whilst working on your vehicle and we will also ensure our Valet team wipe down all common contact areas within your vehicle as part of your service wash. You will also notice your service advisor desk will have a screen – this is for your protection and ours
New Aftersales Services
In terms of new services that we will be offering for better social distancing we can offer you drop and go where our concierge will meet you in the car park to collect your vehicle always remaining 2 metres away and exchanging keys by collecting them from your seat.
We will also be offering collection and delivery where we will collect your vehicle from your home or work and return it to you once work has been completed. We have increased the capacity for this and have stringent health and safety measures in place for that delivery team.
Finally we can offer mobile servicing whereby we have kitted out vans with the latest equipment to allow us to come to those who cant make it to us. This wont be a huge service in terms of numbers but it will be there for the most vulnerable on a first come first serve basis.
We will also be making some small changes to our payment method and facilities available on site asking that you pay by contactless or card wherever possible.

Is it safe to visit your dealership?

We also have state of the art temperature checking sensors at the entrance of all of our dealerships to help both guests and colleagues.
Continuous risk assessments are in place to protects our guests and colleagues.
We’ve made simple changes such as stopping shaking hands and ensuring that colleagues do not work in close-proximity to each other
What is your stance on the social distancing?
All of our teams have been trained arund social distancing and will remain 2 metres away at all times.
Upon guidance from the WHO, it’s advised that contact be limited to 15 mins at a time. Whilst we appreciate that won’t always be possible when buying a car (test drives, sales process), we have put alternative solutions in place to limit contact with our dealerships should that be a concern to our guests.
Our solutions included, video walk rounds of the car (interior/exterior) in place of a physical test drive, explainer videos instead of this taking place at a handover and lastly the ability to buy a car online (including, trade in, finance and reservation) and get it delivered to your home.
What precautions will be taken when I test drive?
If you visit the dealership you can either have an unaccompanied test drive or one of our advisors will sit in the rear of the vehicle directly opposite the driver. We will also offer a test drive to you service where we can bring the car to a place convenient for you.
Can I buy a car without coming into the Showroom?
We’re always delighted to see guests in our showrooms but you can browse and purchase a car from the comfort of your own home online at; https://www.petervardy.com/

We can defer your delivery until you are comfortable to either take delivery or let us deliver to you. Please be aware that if you have signed a finance agreement then this will be a live agreement and your first payment will still be due on the date you agreed. If you have a part exchange and you have signed your finance agreement, then we will still settle your finance on your existing car. If you have changed your Vehicle Insurance to commence on your new vehicle at the time you were due to collect your new car, you will need to contact your insurance company and cancel the change and leave your insurance live on your existing car until a new delivery time is agreed.
Can I still collect my car from your dealership?
Yes, you can complete your purchase online and choose to pick it up at our dealership either from our external sanitisation station or from inside the dealership
