Wherever the road may lead
Offering increased traction and safety, the Vauxhall Antara can be equipped with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. In normal driving situations the 2.2CDTi 16v engine with six-speed manual or automatic gearbox supplies its substantial 163PS to the front wheels. However, in slippery or awkward conditions the electronically-controlled system automatically activates AWD, dividing driving force equally between the front and rear wheels. There’s no button to press or lever to pull – the system automatically engages as and when it’s needed.
It’s not the only intelligent driver assistance. All models of Vauxhall Antara come as standard with a descent control system (DCS). This holds the car at a constant speed when descending steep inclines, giving increased control and safety in low-grip environments or confined spaces. There’s also cornering brake control (CBC) for increased stability, hydraulic brake assistance (HBA) which automatically reduces stopping distances in heavy braking situations, plus an electronic stability programme (ESP) that includes traction control, hill-start assistance and a trailer stability programme. No matter where you may want to go, the Vauxhall Antara delivers driver satisfaction, comfort and control.

While it looks and performs like an off-roader, the Vauxhall Antara has the comfort expected in a luxury car.
