Peter Vardy - Chief Executive
Peter has spent all his working life in the motor industry. He was educated in Scotland at Loretto School, Edinburgh, before going to Strathclyde University in Glasgow, where he graduated in marketing with first class honours.
He sold his first car aged just 15 in the family business established by his grandfather Reg Vardy in 1923 and grown by his father Sir Peter Vardy. He started his career full-time as a sales executive at Reg Vardy Renault in Middlesbrough, rising through the ranks in a number of roles in motor dealerships in North East England and Scotland.
After working in Hong Kong and China in 2002 with Mercedes-Benz, he returned to Scotland as sales manager of Glasgow Mercedes-Benz, which became the most successful market area for the manufacturer at that time. He was general manager of Edinburgh Jaguar before launching Peter Vardy Limited in 2006.
Jamie Crowther - Managing Director
Yorkshireman Jamie started his career in the motor industry as a sales executive with Almondbury BMW, part of the JCT group, in Huddersfield in 1986. Three years later he joined Reg Vardy as a sales manager at Harrogate BMW, soon being promoted to general manager of the dealership.
His relationship with Mercedes-Benz began in 1992 when he moved to Cambridge to open the first Reg Vardy Mercedes-Benz dealership. He continued to work with the retailer and manufacturer for the next 14 years, building up the market area for the West of Scotland. As market area director, he grew it from one dealership to four Mercedes-Benz operations in Ayr, Glasgow, Giffnock and Hamilton, plus Smart of Glasgow.
Under Jamie's leadership, the West of Scotland became Mercedes-Benz's most successful market area in the UK. He has been at Peter Vardy's side in establishing the new business and is leading operations to build it into a world class company.
Gary Dreghorn - Finance Director
Gary joined the motor industry in 1989 as assistant accountant with John Martin Group in Edinburgh, spending ten years with the company and working his way through the ranks to become divisional accountant.
He joined Reg Vardy plc in 1999 as group systems accountant with responsibility for Scotland, then became regional financial controller for the group's Vauxhall division and later the Tyne & Wear region. His role with Peter Vardy Ltd includes overall responsibility for IT and infrastructure, and company secretary duties.
Euan Cameron- Group Marketing Manager
As the Group Marketing Manager at Peter Vardy Ltd, Euan's responsibilities include handling all online and off-line marketing mediums ranging from the press to the internet. Euan is also reponsible for the design and implementation of the group CRM strategy, maintaining group data standards, campaign implementation and training.
Gerry Maguire - Group Used Car Stock Manager
Gerry is responsible for vehicle sourcing, group stock policies and procedures and oversees trade disposal. He will agree and analyse ideal stock mix and work with sales managers on the sales and marketing forms.
Bruce Millar - Group Parts Manager
Bruce supports the group in an operational role, working with parts managers in the Vauxhall dealerships, implementing world class processes and procedures.
George Crosbie - Group Projects Manager
George's responsibilities include managing group projects and best processes including managing the pre sales preparation process.
