Run With Mark
At Peter Vardy we are supporting Mark Cooper on his incredible challenge to raise money for The Headway Group.
Below is a brief description of who Mark is and what he is trying to do:
"My name is Mark Cooper, I am 27 years old and I live in Edinburgh. I am
just an average guy who discovered over the last couple of year an
overpowering desire to push myself to my mental and physical limits. I
am certainly no athlete but I am committed and focused on making my
visions a reality.
On May 1st 2010 I will begin a 1,300 mile
ultra endurance run through Holland, Belgium, France and Spain. The
trip will take me 8 weeks to complete and will consist of roughly 50
marathons in 56 days.
I am running this challenge in memory of
my mother, Sheila. My mum passed away in 1997 from a brain haemorrhage
and I would like to complete this challenge for the charity who helped
my family during this difficult time, for my family who are always
there for me, and for people and their carers affected by traumatic
brain injuries."

Our funding has given Mark a support vehicle for the duration of the trip. The trip would've been impossible without this allowing Mark to carry all his supplies for 8 weeks and support him daily on his route. |
