At Peter Vardy we are hugely excited about the sixth generation of the BMW 3 Series. This new shape model has been given some incredible new styling, both inside and out. The equipment surpasses that of anything on offer from its nearest competitors. It’s more spacious than its predecessor with a bigger boot, the interior feels classier than ever with a driver-focused cabin and high-end materials, while the handling is superior too - which is no mean feat.
The car has grown by 93mm in length and has most if not all of the same visual compactness that has been seen in previous 3 series’. The car’s physical enlargement arises from BMW’s agenda to make the 3-series more practical and sophisticated, while preserving the sporting character that’s such a core part of its image. To offset a 50mm increase in wheelbase, BMW has gone for proportionally larger increases in track width (37mm front, 48mm rear), in pursuit of even greater agility. The car's balance, poise, agility or the fact it remains wonderfully calm and unruffled in terrible weather conditions cannot be faulted.
The BMW 3 Series has one of the best driver-focused cabins around. The centre console in this generation is angled towards the driver which makes you feel that the BMW engineers have specifically built the car for you. The quality and general feel is exceptional, all providing real satisfaction for its owners. The BMW 3 Series delivers strong performance, excellent economy, fine handling and a luxurious and spacious cabin. All versions of the new 3 Series saloon feature Drive Performance Control that allows the driver to switch between driving modes at the touch of a button. The modes include ECO PRO, Comfort and Sport. All models also include climate control, Bluetooth, a USB input and a 6.5in colour screen as standard.
