The New BMW 3 Series Features
Two poignant character lines introduce a dynamic movement as they taper towards the BMW logo and embrace it while the shoulder line emerges from the headlights and runs parallel to the Sicke line to optically stretch the vehicle. This effect adds a special sporting appeal which is also visible in the athletic, sculpted wheel arches. Convex and concave surfaces meet with an upward and downward movement of lines to make the front appear wider and more dynamic. The BMW 3 Series is the expression of one idea: to provide a suitable body for the most athletic sedan in its class.

Design
You can recognise a BMW with eyes closed. It is enough to run your hand over its surfaces, to feel its unmistakable quality. Safety
A precisely-designed network of suspension, engine management, brakes and tyres, plus an array of electronic sensors - all with one single objective: to keep the BMW 3 Series safely on track, even in the most demanding situations. Because giving the driver maximum control means ensuring maximum safety. Its intelligent combination of state-of-the-art safety elements makes the BMW 3 Series one of the safest vehicles on the road. The six standard airbags are deployed as needed. The restraint system, featuring seatbelt tensioners and force limiters, delivers split-second protection for the vehicle's occupants, should a collision be unavoidable.
Engine
On average you blink about ten times a minute. In this time you miss 2,000 separate fuel injections supplying as little as 2 mg of fuel each time. This exceptional level of precision is made possible by the piezo injectors, located centrally between the valves. The engines with the Auto Start Stop function incorporate this cutting-edge technology allowing them to operate in lean-burn mode for far longer and at far higher revs. This leads to improved efficiency, as well as to greater performance.
