Who We've Helped
Hagar Charity Cambodia
Villagers in a remote part of Cambodia are looking forward to a healthy future thanks to a partnership with Peter Vardy Ltd which has brought them clean water.
Donations made by customers and colleagues at dealerships are literally saving lives after the company linked up with the charity Hagar.
Last year nearly £35,000 was collected through fund-raising events and donations. The money raised is helping to pay for water filters to help eradicate disease, especially among children, in 1,400 families.
A team of Peter Vardy colleagues travelled to Cambodia to see the charity’s work in action, and to meet villagers who are benefiting from the fund-raising.
We also managed to raise £50,000 this year resulting in the Children’s School that was due to be closed can now remain open
Perth Young Carers
THREE years after Peter
Vardy's first meeting with local charity PKAVS, the local Vauxhall dealership’s
commitment to the Young Carers Project has enhanced the lives of many
youngsters.
Since 2006, Peter Vardy Vauxhall has supported quarterly excursions – such as bowling or karting – for the Big County's young carers, as well as encouraging staff to volunteer and raise awareness of young carers' needs.
The innovative partnership has proved such an effective model for corporate charitable support that it’s now being replicated throughout the UK.
In July, the dealership offered its staff a unique opportunity to live side-by-side with young carers during their summer residential break.
